Record Audio Directly into DaVinci Resolve Fairlight!

This week’s episode is a quick tutorial covering how to set up and record audio directly into DaVinci Resolve! This can help simplify your voiceover and podcast signal chain and workflow all the way from setup to post-production. First we’ll show you how to configure your system audio settings, then how to properly route your signal into audio tracks in Resolve, and finally walk through how to actually record and make the most of the controls available to you in Fairlight. Make better podcast and livestream sound — WTAUTOMIXER & DaVinci Resolve Fairlight

Do you find that your podcasts or livestreams, which you record with 2 or more people, sound noisy and…just not that great? The reason they sound that way is that recording with two or more microphones in the same space often results in microphone bleed and more pickup of room noise. There are a few different ways to solve this problem and get cleaner sound, but the quickest way is to use an auto mixer. In this video, we cover a VST, AU, AAX plugin automixer you can use in your DAW audio app or livestream encoder app to make much cleaner, focused sound. WTAUTOMIXER is the plugin that combines an automatic mixer, leveler, and noise gate into a single, easy-to-use plugin. Let’s take a closer look at WTAUTOMIXER in DaVinci Resolve Fairlight.

How To Use Your Zoom F3 as an Audio Interface

In this episode we walk you through how to set up and use your Zoom F3 recorder as an audio interface for your computer! The awesome versatility of the F3 allows you to easily record 32-bit float audio straight into a DAW or recording app on your computer, as well as monitor system sound directly from the F3. Plus, it’s super easy to set up and get recording! Let’s see how it’s done!

Sound for Video Session — DPA 4017b Shotgun Microphone & Q&A

In this session, we'll have a look and listen to the DPA 4017b shotgun microphone. This has been my primary shotgun microphone for 6 or 7 years now and still my go-to when capturing sound outdoors for most productions.
